These terms apply to all bookings made with Karthika Travels, Tirunelveli, whether through this website, phone or WhatsApp. By booking with us, you agree to the terms below.
1. Bookings & Confirmation
- A booking is confirmed only after our team contacts you with the fare and you accept it.
- Driver and vehicle details are shared before pickup, usually a few hours in advance.
- For very early morning pickups (before 6 AM), we recommend booking at least 12 hours ahead.
2. Fares & Payment
- One way (drop taxi) fares are calculated as distance × per-km rate + driver bata, subject to the minimum kilometres shown on our tariff page.
- Round trip fares are calculated on total running kilometres with a minimum of 250 km per day, plus daily driver bata.
- Toll charges, inter-state permits, parking and hill station charges are extra and payable at actuals.
- Payment is accepted in cash, UPI or bank transfer at the end of the trip unless agreed otherwise. Long tours may require a reasonable advance.
- Waiting beyond the agreed schedule may attract additional charges, which the driver will inform you of in advance.
3. Cancellations
- Cancellation is free up to 3 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
- If the vehicle has already been dispatched to your pickup point, a nominal dispatch charge may apply.
- Any advance paid is refunded after deducting applicable charges, within 5–7 working days.
4. Passenger Responsibilities
- Please be ready at the agreed pickup time; extended delays may affect scheduling and fare.
- Smoking and consumption of alcohol inside the vehicle are strictly prohibited.
- Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings. Please check the vehicle before leaving.
- Any damage to the vehicle caused by passengers will be chargeable at actuals.
5. Our Responsibilities
- We provide clean, roadworthy, insured vehicles driven by licensed, experienced drivers.
- In the rare event of a breakdown, we arrange an alternate vehicle at the earliest with no extra charge for the replacement itself.
- We follow all applicable motor vehicle rules of Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states.
6. Delays & Force Majeure
While we plan buffers for every trip, we are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, strikes or other events beyond our reasonable control. For airport drops, please allow adequate buffer time when choosing your pickup slot.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.
